Day 1: Think About Your Habits

I seem to have hundreds of great ideas floating around in my brain on any given day. I have numerous half-started projects cluttering my house. I wish I didn’t have to sleep so I had time for _____ fill in the blank. There are so many opportunities and the possibilities are endless! 

When it comes to changing a habit, it’s easy to have lots of great ideas. If we never move them from ideas to reality, though, we never change a habit. We just keep filling our brain with good ideas.

As we begin this journey to change one habit, our first step will be to think about our habits. We’re going to start slow, so don’t jump in quite yet. Spend a few minutes throughout the day thinking about habits, good and bad.

What are some good habits you have? There are many, I’m sure! Pat yourself on the back for what you already are doing well.

Why do you do these habits well? Think about what works for you and how you’ve developed the good habits you already have.

What are some things you’d like to change? You don’t have to pick one thing yet. Just think about some possibilities.

How would your life change if you could change one habit?

Allow yourself to ask more questions. Feel free to brainstorm. There are no right or wrong answers here, just pondering.

Some habits probably popped into your head with ease. Others might cross your mind as you go about your day. There’s no rush here. We’re just getting started.
